Proposed Disposal of Land

Prior to the disposal of land under Section 96(3) of the School Act, a bylaw describing the disposal will be prepared. The disposal must provide for:

3.1. Consideration of the future educational needs of the District,

3.2. Disposition of land or improvements through a public process, and

3.3. Disposition of land or improvements at fair market value.

As part of the Long-Range Facilities plan, the Board of Education of School District No. 67 has identified two properties as not being required for educational purposes and has therefore elected to dispose of the properties.

Next Steps

The next stage in the process is to conduct public consultation. This public consultation process will allow the Board of Education to obtain the community's feedback on the proposed disposal of lands.

The Board of Education is asking members of the community to share their input on the proposed land disposals. Feedback is invited by completion of the survey below. The survey will be open until June 15, 2025.

All feedback collected will be compiled and shared with the Board of Education to help inform their decision-making.
